Long-necked Tortoise

Design Size:	84 stitches high, 180 stitches wide	(14 count: 6" x 13" or approx. 15.5 cm x 33 cm)
		(18 count: 5" x 10" or approx. 12 cm x 25.5 cm)
Fabric Size:	Working on 14 count: No less than 12" x 19"	(30 cm x 48 cm)
	Working on 18 count: No less than 11" x 16"	(28 cm x 41 cm)

Both the Barramundi and Long-necked Tortoise are based on traditional Aboriginal paintings from the Kakadu area of North-Western Australia. While the style is authentic, the colouring used is my own but similar in style to that which would have been used.

A similar Long-necked Tortoise rock painting from this area has recently been carbon dated to 7,000 years old.

As these are the first of a series on "Traditional Art" I cannot, at this stage, recommend others to make a set, however others will follow.
